Veteran Gets First House Under Program of VA, Oglala Sioux Lakota Housing

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is trying to help improve housing for Native American veterans reports KEVN-TV.  Congress approved more money to be spent improving Native American health care and housing on reservations.  

The Oglala Sioux Housing Administration plans to give five homes to Native American veterans in Pine Ridge.  Richard White Eyes was the first recipient.
