Crews have begun a two-year reconstruction project of Interstate 90's Exit 14 at Spearfish, reports the Black Hills Pioneer.
The project will streamline traffic flow by merging two intersections into a single point interchange. Engineers expect the new design to reduce accidents and improve pedestrian safety.
During the first phase of the project, lanes will be closed both on I-90 and on connecting city roads. The project is scheduled to be complete by October 2017.
