South Dakota School of Mines President Heather Wilson was interviewed by President-elect Donald Trump’s transition team on Monday, reports KOTA News. Wilson was contacted late Wednesday about the interview.
Wilson is being considered for a top national security position in New York. Wilson previously worked on national security issues in her time as a U.S. Representative from New Mexico. She also served on the National Security Council Staff under President George H.W. Bush. Wilson graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy and served seven years in the Air Force.
