The Origins of Names across Western South Dakota

The Journal is telling the stories behind 100 names across Western South Dakota. Learn about the Badlands, Camp Crook, Wounded Knee, Deadwood, Settler's Rock, Hangman's Hill, and more! The Journal will be adding a new name each day, for 100 days, and they began the project on July 4; so keep checking back to learn about the history of our community through names!
