Summerset Welcomes New Middle School

A brand-new middle school has started classes in Summerset, reports KOTA Territory News. The new addition to the Meade County School District, Stagebarn Middle School, will host grades 5-7 in the upcoming 2018-2019 school year, with 8th grade added for 2019-2020.

The new facility has 24 general use classrooms, and everyone – faculty and students – is excited to start the year in a new building, says Principal David Olson. At Stagebarn grades 5 - 6 will use an intermediate school model to help children transition from elementary to middle school. The 7th grade will use a middle school model to help prepare students for high school.

School started at Stagebarn Middle and other Meade County District schools on August 27th.
