Substitute Teacher Training is January 9

A training for persons wishing to serve as substitute teachers in Meade School District will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, Jan. 9, in the board room of Williams Administrative Building, 1230 Douglas Street, Sturgis.

The purpose of the training is to review the district’s substitute teacher handbook and to answer questions about local procedures and policies.

Persons holding a high school diploma, GED, college degree or teacher’s certificate are eligible to substitute. Substitutes are needed in

Sturgis, Piedmont, Whitewood and the rural areas of Atall, Elm Springs, Enning, Hereford, Opal and Union Center.
