Sturgis Snowplows Transformed Into Works of Art

Three snowplows in Sturgis have been adorned with paintings by middle school students, reports the Rapid City Journal

The pilot project, coordinated by an art teacher and the city's public works director, is planned to expand in future years. Student teams were chosen this year based on their designs -- a winter scene, a sports theme and a forest scene.

Future plans are to showcase the painted plows in the city's homecoming and holiday light parades. Keep with updates on the Sturgis Painted Plows on Facebook.
