Sturgis 2018 Sees Traffic Numbers On The Rise

Officials from the South Dakota Department of Transportation have counted three percent more vehicles entering Sturgis so far, reports the Rapid City Journal. During the first three days of the 78th Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, 161,696 vehicles entered Sturgis.

Last year only 157,166 vehicles entered Sturgis during the same time frame. These are counted by traffic counters at nine different entrances to the city, which are controlled by the Department of Transportation. Compared to last year, traffic on Saturday was up by almost 11 percent.
