Special County Meeting May Decide $11M Rochford Road Project

The fate of the South Rochford Road project may finally be decided as Pennington County commissioners will hold a special meeting to figure out what to do with the road. According to the Rapid City Journal, the federal deadline to use the grant money is rapidly approaching and after public comment, the commissioners may decide on either moving forward with the project or shelving it altogether.  Doing so, though, may mean the county paying back the $1.26 million that has already been spent on the project to the federal government. Here's the agenda link to the special meeting.
