Spearfish Gymnast Wins National Title

Spearfish gymnast Wynter Childers took first place in the Senior B division of the Junior Olympic National Championship, reports the Black Hills Pioneer

Childers earned a score of 38.550 to win the all-around competition. She had scored first place on both vault and balance beam, second place on floor competition and tied for ninth place on the uneven bars. 

The event featured 459 of Level 10 Junior Olympic gymnasts, which is the level just below elite. The competitive divisions are determined by the gymnasts' birth dates.
