Spearfish Fourth Graders Give 350 Books to Little Free Libraries

Fourth grade students at Creekside Elementary School in Spearfish raised money in order to purchase books for Spearfish’s Little Free Libraries, reports the Black Hills Pioneer. The students held a fundraiser by selling t-shirts and raised enough money to purchase 350 books for the libraries.

Yellow Jacket Friends, a student group at Black Hills State University that pairs adults with disabilities with college mentors, established the Little Free Libraries across Spearfish. Little Free Libraries aims to promote literacy by providing free book exchanges, with locations worldwide. There are ten libraries in total.
