Spearfish Community Strategic Plan Reports Positive Progress

PACE Strategic Development provided a quarterly progress report on the Spearfish Community Strategic Plan to the Spearfish City Council on October 17, reports the Black Hills Pioneer. The five-year strategic plan began in March and has five focus areas including balance growth and business partnerships, fiscal resource management, lifelong learning and leadership, quality of life and sense of community.

The focus areas are each broken down into action steps, 40 of which are already in progress. Action steps can range from recognizing exceptional employees to assisting city council members with community engagement. Many more action steps are slated to begin in 2017.
