To the elation of most in attendance, the Pennington County Commissioners passed the resolution to start work on improving South Rochford Road. According to the Rapid City Journal, the project has been in limbo for almost a decade with the county having spent nearly $1.26 million on it so far and will cost $8.3 million in federal grant money. Now that the resolution has passed, plans for construction on the road are scheduled to take place sometime in 2018. Click on this link to view the meeting agenda.
