South Dakota Considering Repeal of Death Penalty

Some South Dakotan lawmakers are pushing to repeal the death penalty, Rapid City Journal reports. If the bill passes, the death penalty would be replaced with a life sentence in prison.

Democratic Senator Bernie Hunhoff and Republican Representative Steve Hickey are the main sponsors of the bill.
