Senator Rounds Requests Indian Health Service Audit

The Rapid City Journal reports US Senator Mike Rounds is calling for an audit of Indian Health Service care facilities.  Senator Rounds acknowledges the IHS facilities needs more funding, but he wants to address bigger issues before making a cash infusion to the organization.

IHS hospitals in the Great Plains have been under scrutiny because of patient care and were told they would need to make changes in order to receive Medicaid funding for payments.  Earlier this year the Accountability Act of 2016 was proposed.
