School of Mines Students' Research Could Evolve to Commercial Projects

Students at South Dakota School of Mines & Technology on the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Team are ready to advance in their reserach pending FAA approval.  KOTA TV reports the FAA proposed new rules about unmanned aircrafts, or drones.

The SDSM&T group is interdisciplinary and hopes to move from the research phase onto commercial use with the proposed FAA changes
