School of Mines in Rapid City Sees Increase in Female Enrollment

Rapid City SDSM&T officials credit aggressive marketing for rise in female enrollment.

SD School of Mines & Technology in Rapid City has seen an increase in the number of female students in the mechanical engineering field. 

University officials believe that some of the increase in women students is due to an aggressive marketing campaign including commercials and videos.  Another reason for the increase may be the hefty scholarships being offered to female mechanical engineering students.
