Road and Bridge Funding Holding Up County Budget

Numerous funding requests in Pennington County are being held hostage due to uncertainty over the issue of road and bridge funding. According to the Rapid City Journal article, county officials are still determining how to raise the funds to repair roads and bridges while trying to keep to its current budget.  Whether or not the county will accept state funding from the Bridge Improvement Program (BIG) is complicating the budget process.
