RCAS Enrollment Numbers Show Slight Drop Over 2015

Enrollment in Rapid City Area Schools show a slight decrease in the number of students for the school year, but it is still above what Board members had estimated. Figures reported by the Rapid City Journal indicate that K-12 numbers currently stand at 13,740, down just over a hundred students than in 2015. School officials are not currently concerned with the slight drop as they had estimated 13,500 enrolled students and the drop will not affect state funding that the schools rely on at this time.
