Rapid City School Board Sets Budget For 2016-17 School Year

On Monday, July 11, the Rapid City school board approved a budget of $192 million for the 2016-17 school year, Rapid City Journal reports. The budget is an approximate $7.3 million increase from last year's budget, which Assistant Superintendent and Business Manager Dave Janak attributes to the increased salary wages for teachers.
