Rapid City Police Department Seeks Focus Group Participants

 The Rapid City Police Department is seeking participants for a focus group, according to the Rapid City Journal.  The focus group will brainstorm ideas on how to increase applications from minority candidates.  The City of Rapid City notes that these groups would be only a 90 minute commitment.  The focus groups will include:

  • Native Americans with an interesest in a law enforcement career.  
  • Friends and family members of Native Americans pursing a a job in a police department.  
  • Community members interested in minority represenation within law enforcement.
