Rapid City Police Department Continues Accreditation Streak

The Rapid City Police Department (RCPD) has once again been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies. KOTA reported that RCPD is the only police force in South Dakota accredited by the organization; fewer than 10% of law enforcement agencies in the United States are accredited. RCPD has met the accreditation standards since 1990. The full report is available through RCPD's website.

Police stories can be found in the Black Hills Knowledge Network's online news archive.
