Rapid City Mayor Wants Study of Arts and Community Organizations

Mayor Steve Allender wants a committee to study city funding of various operations and organizations. According to the Rapid City Journal, the Government Efficiency Committee would evaluate the Retired Senior Volunteer Program, the city golf courses, the Journey Museum, the Humane Society of the Black Hills, the Dahl Arts Center, and the Rapid City Public Library. Allender wants to have a ten-person committee set up within the next few weeks with the goal of providing recommendations by the end of the year.
