Rapid City Mayor Unveils 2013 City Budget - $136.7

Rapid City Mayor's proposed budget decreases overall city spending by 1.3%.

Presenting his 2013 city budget to City Council members, Rapid City Mayor Sam Kooiker's budget was down $1.8 million from the 2012 levels.  Kooiker assured the council the budget was balanced and did not spend into the reserves.  The Council took no formal action on the budget and have until the end of September to approve an official budget.  Mayor Kooiker's 2013 budget recommendations and presentation may be accessed here.
