Humane Society in Rapid City in Need of Additional Funds

With expenses rising at the same time the need for its services grows, the Humane Society of the Black Hills is facing a budget shortfall that, if not rectified, could lead to fewer operating hours or worse, its closure.  According to the Rapid City Journal article, the non-profit has asked for an additional $20,000 to function for the coming year, but increasing costs could have drastic effects on the organization if better funding isn't secured.
