Keith Johnson joined the Rapid City Engineering Department in 1973, reports the Rapid City Journal. He will be retiring on June 9, 2017 – the 45th Anniversary of the 1972 Flood. In the 44 years Johnson was with the City of Rapid City he has experienced the 1972 Flood recovery efforts and a lot of growth in the city. He plans on spending time traveling and working on projects and may volunteer with the parks and recreation department.
