Rapid City Begins Budget Process

With a new mayor installed, Rapid City's Common Council is ready to put together the 2016 city budget. The Rapid City Journal reports that there will be special council meetings on Monday and Tuesday, July 27 and 28. City departments and community groups will present to the council. The public may attend, but there will not be a public comments section.

Rapid City has in the past few years moved toward Priority Driven Budgeting. Stories on the budget will be tracked in the archive.
