Rapid City Airport Requests Federal and State Funds for Renovations

Rapid City Regional Airport requested $3.3 million for improvements, reports the Rapid City Journal.  The South Dakota Aeronautics Commission will discuss this and other requests Tuesday.  The request is for a wheel loader for snow removal, alterations to commercial aprons, updating the general aviation apron, in addition to studies on the escalators, baggage system, and sanitary sewer system.  Over $2 million would come in federal aid with $154,275 in state funds and an additional $378,234 would come from local budgets.
