Rapid City Lakota Sioux Woman Nominated for Music Award

Doing all her own work - recording, mixing and producing, Gabrielle Knife's album has been nominated as one of the Debut Artists of the Year at the Native American Music Awards.  The Rapid City Journal reports that the local Lakota woman will compete against five other nominees.  Knife's songs may be downloaded from iTunes and the Awards event will be broadcast on First Nations Experience, FNX-TV, and on PBS on Thanksgiving Day.  Online voting is available.
