Pennington County Moratorium on Mining Continues

The Rapid City Journal reports that the Pennington County Board of Commissioners voted to pass a one year moratorium on construction permits related to alternative energy and mining.  This moratorium comes after a temporary moratorium enacted in April.  Croell Redi-Mix, LLC is currently in litigation with the county in regards to the denied permit.  The county will work to find a solution in regards to these construction permits.
