Pennington County Employees May See Wage Increase

Pennington County Commissioners requested a cost of living increase as well as up to two merit increases next year, reports KOTA News. However, Pennington County Auditor Julie Pearson also stated that the county may fail to meet its 18 percent goal of cash reserves due to lower than projected revenue in 2017.

Pearson also noted that the commission may have to consider options if Croell Redi Mix is successful in its $10 million lawsuit against the county. Croell has argued that its business was negatively impacted by Pennington County’s decision to deny the company certain permits for its gravel quarry.
