Pennington County Commissioner Peterson's Pay Changed Per His Requset

The Rapid City Journal reports that Pennington County Commissioner Peterson requested his monthly salary be lowered.  At the January 5, 2016 meeting, commissioners voted to increase their monthly salary to $1,500.  The Journal reports that Peterson thought the motion was to increase the salary to $1,300, which was the amount originally budgeted for 2016.  Because the increase was more than Peterson realized, he asked the auditor to please alter his amount.  At the January 19, 2016 meeting this pay rate change was recorded.
