Paint the Town in North Rapid City

A residence in North Rapid City is getting a much-needed coat of paint this week by Neighborworks. According to KOTA Territory News, the efforts are part of the "Paint the Town" campaign.  Volunteers will do most of the work each evening and should be finished by Saturday June 6th, with a community party at College Park from noon to 3 PM for all.  Neighborworks is a non-profit organization providing assistance to residents of the Black Hills and western South Dakota in need of purchasing, repairing, and retaining homes.  The Rapid City Police Department is integral in the Neighborworks movement.  Officers volunteer on several community revitalization projects. The goal is to bring people together, transform a neighborhood and build a sense of community.
