Outside of Deadwood Grant Program Awards $90k to 10 Projects

The Rapid City Journal reports that the Deadwood Historic Preservation Commission awarded over $90,000 in grants this award cycle.  The Outside of Deadwood Grant Program helps promote preservation of sites throughout all of South Dakota. This year ten historic projects will receive funds.  The program is open to nonprofit and local governments to preserve historic sites.  The program began in 2002 and has awarded more than $3.5 million to over 51 communities according to the Rapid City Journal article.
