Neighborhood Worries about Traffic Congestion as Area Develops

The Rapid City Journal reports that north side residents are concerned about zoning in their subdivision.  The subdivision was built with only one road leading to Haines Avenue.  This leads to heavy traffic congestion during peak travel times.  The Rapid City City Council approved a new apartment complex to build in the area contributing to more traffic concerns.  At this time, the developer has offered to build two separate buildings at a shorter heights instead of one tall building.  Area residents asked the City Council to reconsider the zoning as well as consider adding an additional road to the area.
