Mayor's Committee Searches for Civic Center Solution

Rapid City voters rejected the $180 million Civic Center expansion in March. But, the facility still needs to be brought into ADA compliance. KOTA reports that Mayor Allender has a group of about a dozen people discussing possible directions to go with the project. The report notes his concern about spending money to fix up Barnett Arena and being left with an outdated facility. He expects the group to come up with a plan by the end of the year.
