Legislators to Determine if School of Mines Expands Downtown

KOTA TV reports the SD School of Mines & Technology was gifted a piece of real estate downtown where the old Imperial Hotel was located.  South Dakota legislators must determine if funding the $20 million facility is in the budget.  Expansion downtown would help to alleviate some overcrowding as well as eliminate some short-term leases.  The new equipment could then be housed in a facility built better to accommodate it.
