Lead Chamber of Commerce Announces New Director

The board president for the Lead Area Chamber of Commerce announced Karen Kean as the new director for the chamber of commerce, reports the Black Hills Pioneer. Kean is a resident of Deadwood and has owned a small business for 15 years. Kean also has experience in property management.

As director, Kean hopes to get started by working on strategic planning for the chamber of commerce. While Kean feels that most people still associate Lead with the Homestake Gold Mine, she sees a bright future for the city.
