Lawrence County Transfers Ownership of Airport to Spearfish

Earlier this week, Lawrence County transferred ownership of the Black Hills Airport to the City of Spearfish, as reported by the Black Hills Pioneer. The Federal Aviation Administration had previously approved of such a transfer in September of this year.

As part of the transfer, the City of Spearfish will take over maintenance of roads near the airport. All of the tools and equipment at the airport were also include in the sale.
