Girls Learn About STEM Careers at Women in Science Conference

The annual Women in Science Conference was held at the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology this week, reports KOTA News. Hosted by Youth in Science Rapid City, over 780 girls from 20 schools across the region were in attendance. 

Women in STEM (Science, Technological Engineering and Mathematics) careers presented at the conference to show students aspects of their jobs. Topics included hydrology, biomedical engineering, meteorology, physical therapy and others.
