Final Preparations for 75th Sturgis Rally in Progress

Sturgis City Manager and Rapid City Director of Communication say that both cities are finishing final preparations for the Sturgis Rally.  The Sturgis Rally officially begins in August, but cities in the Black Hills have been busy coordinating since last year to prepare for this monument year.  The KOTA TV says that counties, municipalities, and the state coordinated to be sure that all parties are on the same page.

There has been coordination so most construction during the rally will be in residential areas not frequented by visitors.  Officials say they go through this every year and that the infrastructure will be okay and officials are familiar with what the process entails.
