The fate of the long-delayed $11 million project to pave 11 miles of Rochford Road is finally going to be decided on next week. Pennington County commissioners voted 3-2 to decide on the viability of fixing the road. According to the Rapid City Journal, their decision will determine if the project moves forward with the grant money given to the county in 2005 for road improvements or if the county will need to repay the federal government back $1.26 million it has spent already on the project.
