In February, rates of youth ridership on RapidRide continued to grow, notes a city news release. There was an average of 606 daily youth trips on RapidRide last month, marking an 8.21 percent increase over ridership in January 2017.
Rapid City youth were able to begin taking RapidRide for free in September 2016. During its inaugural month, there were an average of 379 youth trips per day. In February, youth ridership comprised 37.1 percent of RapidRide’s total ridership.
