Ellsworth AFB Library to Offer Computers for Patrons

After the addition of the children's Safariland area in December, Holbrook library expects to double traffic with new personal-use computers.

Safariland Opening Ellsworth children play in the Safariland play area in the Holbrook Library at Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D., Dec. 7, 2012. The play area is open from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for children ages 6 and younger to enjoy.

The library staff is gearing up for a doubling of its customer base with the installation of personal-use computers, reports

The pending expansion comes as the library is serving 368 children in its summer reading program who have logged 4,000 of reading this year.

The library also offers a program known as "office collection" which provides specialized material to support individual careers.
