Education Reform Comes at a Cost

Representative Jacqueline Sly was one member of the Blue Ribbon Task Force appointed by Governor Daugaard.  The Rapid City Journal reports that Rep. Sly admitted there was a lot to cover as member, but she believes valuable information has been gained.  The Blue Ribbon Task Force on Teachers and Students Final Report was published November 11, 2015.  The report has been given to Governor Daugaard and will need legislative approval before anything can become law.  The Task Force noted that finding funds for a teacher pay hike may help retain teachers in the area.
