On December 20, residents of Spearfish will have the opportunity to voice their opinions regarding the rezoning of an agricultural area to a single-family residential zone. The addition would create a 45-acre neighborhood with around 90 single-family plots, reports the Black Hills Pioneer.
Staff at the City of Spearfish are currently analyzing the specifics of the rezoning and plan to make a report of their findings available ahead of the public comment period. Items taken into consideration in the evaluation include on-street parking, non-vehicular travel, traffic calming techniques, and other items included in the city’s Master Transportation Plan.
The public hearing will be held at 3:00 p.m. on December 20th at the Spearfish City Hall.
