County Governments Have Millions At Stake During Coming Legislative Session

If state lawmakers pass a number of bills in the upcoming legislative session, millions of dollars in new revenue sources could be coming to the county treasuries in counties across the state. According to the Rapid City Journal article, some little-publicized bills could let local governments collect additional sales taxes, alcohol taxes, and other fees if they are passed. These added revenues could result in millions of dollars for county governments across South Dakota.
