Rapid City's Legal and Finance Committee voted Wednesday to allow an attorney retained by the city to share confidential information with a private investigator. John Nooney has represented the city in various cases. During one case, he had a conversation with Alderman Jerry Wright which is the basis for the Code of Conduct complaint against Wright. According to the Rapid City Journal, the request was placed by the City Attorney's office. The full council will vote on it on Monday; if approved, private investigator Mark Pecora will be able to speak with Nooney about the conversation.
