Closure of Rapid City's Alternative High School Could Happen in the Future

Because of financial restrictions, district administrators and Rapid City School Board members may have to decide on whether or not to keep the former Dakota Middle School building, now the district's alternative high school, open within the next few years. According to the Rapid City Journal article, if this happens, the programs themselves would not end.  However, finding a new location for the 450 students and 37 teachers would be no small logistical task.
