City of Spearfish Swaps Land With Real Estate Company

The city of Spearfish will swap a 409-acre parcel with a real estate company in exchange for a parcel of the same size, reports the Black Hills Pioneer

The swap involves land near Spearfish Creek in the northwest part of town, with a city-owned parcel in the floodway that had been part of the Meier ranch property being traded to Spearfish Creekside LLC for an adjacent parcel.

All costs associated with the exchange, including deed preparation, recording, title insurance, surveying, and replatting, excluding city staff time, are the responsibility of Spearfish Creekside LLC. Joe Jorgensen is the registered agent for the company, which describes it's purpose "ownership and development of real estate."
